The Local Government NetZero Roundtable is a series of free online forums. The first event was held on 3rd May 2023 with the theme of “Planning for NetZero”.
Thank you to the councils and individuals who expressed interest in presenting at the NetZero Roundtable. The organisations presenting at the first online forum were:

Our original intention was to hold a face-to-face event in Canberra. This did not panned out, as many councils have experienced challenges in presenting or attending in person due to financial pressures and/or ongoing COVID restrictions.
The Roundtable is designed to fast-track council and community progress towards net zero by promoting successful sustainability initiatives.

The NetZero Roundtable will enable the sharing of sustainability insights and practical experiences, encouraging replicability of successful initiatives to move Australian councils closer toward their emission reduction targets.
In a country as broad and diverse as Australia, this is an important opportunity for local government sustainability practitioners, policy makers and executives to come together and share their approaches to progressing net zero.
This series of events promises to be engaging, interactive and thought-provoking, with local government sustainability practitioners driving the discussion.
