With over 30 years executive and consulting experience in local government, our Principal John Ravlic has worked with many councils across Australia.
Jenny Ravlic has over 20 years experience in senior administration and executive roles. John and Jenny work together to ensure a high quality service for Ravim RBC clients.

John has over 30 years executive experience in local government and the not-for-profit sector. John was Director Corporate Services at the City of Sandringham before relocating to WA in 1993, where he consulted to councils before taking on a Director’s role at the City of Perth.
John returned to Melbourne in 1999 to run an advertising and marketing consultancy providing creative communication responses for government agencies.
With his extensive public and private sector experience, in 2006 John took on the role of National Chief Executive with Local Government Managers Australia. This was a national advocacy role, which saw John visiting Canberra regularly to work with Ministers, Parliamentary and Departmental representatives on broad ranging national issues for local government:

- Establishment of Australian Centre of Excellence for Local Government
- Future Proofing Local Government: National Workforce Strategy
- National Local Government Indigenous Employment Position Paper
- International Development – Capacity Building Pacific Council
John has been embedded in local government innovation and best practice and has an intimate knowledge of the sector nationally and internationally. John has been a regular conference presenter and a commentator on the sector’s development.
In 2014 John established Ravim RBC to assist councils and those wishing to work with councils.
John holds a Bachelor of Business in Local Government and a Masters in Leadership and Management.
Jenny has over 20 years experience in executive support, office management and not-for-profit leadership.
Jenny has an eye for detail and a passion for technology. Much of what she does with our clients revolves around making systems work for them, including:
- data collection, validation and reporting;
- documentation of policies, processes, and procedures; and
- development and implementation of effective communication strategies.
Jenny’s extensive office management experience and organisational skills ensure our commitments are delivered on time and on budget.
