Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh Inc

The Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh Inc required a strategic business case in the lead-up to the 2016 federal election to advocate for $12 million funding for development of independent living units (ILUs) for the aged. Ravim RBC undertook to develop a strategic business case which involved:

  • development of a narrative supporting the establishment of ethno-specific ILUs for the aged;
  • researching market, availability and identifying expected demand for ILUs;
  • benchmarking and developing an operating model;
  • developed concept plans and project costing; and
  • developed a sustainable funding model for the ILUs.

Victorian Croatian Aged Care Services (VCACS)

The Geelong-based VCACS required some $2m to complete its funding to enable commencement of construction of its 100-bed ethno-specific aged care facility (development valued at over $20m). In the lead up to the 2019 federal election Ravim RBC put together, on a pro-bono basis, a successful funding submission for the 4th round of the Building Better Regions Fund. The submission included:

  • detailed business case;
  • definition of project outcomes;
  • identification of social and economic benefit;
  • exploration of risk and development of risk management strategies;
  • project management methodology; and
  • financial management strategy.

We needed this grant to close out the required funding to commence this project. I credit John (Ravim RBC) with getting our project off the ground.

Joe Pavlovic, President VCACS
